THE BRIEF:

REVERSE-ENGINEERING A TECH PACK

The last week of FASH912 with Elizabeth Brock-Jones at Lasell University culminates in the creation of a Reverse Tech Pack through the dissection of a shoe of choice. The Nike Air Deldon was the first time in history that Nike had put a full-length Zoom airbag unit on a shoe, making it so you were quite literally "walking on air". I've always been incredibly curious about how it was built, which made it the perfect subject for this project.

The Reverse Tech Pack

DEVELOPED THROUGH DECONSTRUCTION

This was a great hands-on opportunity to learn about shoe + air bag construction. The entire process also taught me a lot about the development process through multiple lenses including fit, function, profitability, sustainability, manufacturability, delivering products on time and on design.
